Cupcakes

Happy national vanilla cupcake day! I chose to celebrate today by taking a break from my work and heading over to Smallcakes Cupcakery in Naperville.

This is another place I have never been to. Actually, I never even knew it was there! I’ve worked at a movie theatre the last few years as I finish my education in graphic design and this shop is less than 5 minutes there. It’s actually probably better that I just discovered this now or you wouldn’t have been able to keep me away? A cupcake a shift anyone?

Anyway, I walked in and it’s an adorable shop with a ton of varieties of cupcakes! They have a board on the wall where they tell you the flavors and the daily specials. There are so many I want to try! (Good thing they gave me a punch card! Buy 12, get 1 free)

Since it was national vanilla cupcake day, I ended up choosing the vanilla and chocolate cupcake (vanilla cake and chocolate frosting). It was super tasty, a little too sweet for my liking, but there are many other flavors that I think would be just perfect on a less themed day! There’s a peanut butter cupcake in there just calling my name!
